More about our impact
The environment
The area is still developing and we are hoping to see more wildlife come to the area as plants and Willow continue to develop and establish.
The local economy
As a committee we decided to purchase different parts of the garden from local businesses to support them.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We held working parties made up of parents, children and people from the local community. All participants were volunteers and helped to build the structure and area. The children have since volunteered to maintain the structure and help it to develop.
Arts, culture & heritage
It has encouraged children to carry out different activities centered around the area.
Activity, health and leisure
All volunteers were actively involved with the gardening. It was great to be outside, meet new people, build and working as a team to create something special. The children have been able to go to the outdoor classroom which has encouraged activity, health and leisure.
