Welcome to Dementia Friendly Worthing
Worthing Dementia Action Alliance has developed this resource to encourage a safer and more rewarding environment for people with dementia, their carers and families, in which to live, work and visit.
We want to create accessible, inclusive places; remove barriers and shift thinking across all parts of the community. Not only do people with dementia have to battle for diagnosis and support, but the everyday things that we take for granted such as getting to the shops, spending time with the family, getting money from the bank and going on holiday, are made difficult because of the limited understanding of dementia within the community.
