Updates
At a small gathering of donors this morning Fiona Davidson, our County Councillor, placed the defibrillator in its secure cabinet. It is now available 24/7 for use in a cardiac emergency. You can look it up on the defib locator website https://www.defibfinder.uk. Thank you again to everyone who donated funds so we could buy this important community asset. Look out for notices advertising training courses, which we will hold at the Spike from the autumn
Hi Everyone, the defibrillator is installed and ready to be activated. We will hold a launch event in the Spike car park tomorrow, Monday 15th July, at 1100. Fiona Davidson, our County Councillor, will be our guest of honour. There will be light refreshments in the Spike after the ceremony. We do hope you can join us.
Exciting news! We have now taken delivery of the defibrillator and its cabinet, along with the training device. The defibrillator will be installed on the wall of the "bicycle shed" in the top corner of the Spike car park in the next two or three weeks. To thank you for your generous support in making this all possible, we invite you to a launch event on Monday 15th July at 1100 at the Spike to celebrate the commissioning of the defibrillator (though hopefully not its first use!). We hope to see you there so we can thank you in person. With best wishes Josh Goodwin On behalf of the Charlotteville Jubilee Trust
We have achieved our funding target plus a small surplus. Thank you to all of you who have pledged so generously. Spacehive will now start collecting your pledges. The defibrillator, its cabinet and a training device are now on order from British Heart Foundation. We will have a small launch event when the defibrillator is installed, to which you will all be invited. Watch out too for invitations to the training sessions we will start holding at the Spike. The surplus funding will go towards maintaining the defibrillator over the comings years, for example to replace batteries and pads periodically or when the defib has been used. Thank you again for your generosity. The defibrillator should be in place soon.
Whoop, 60 people have pledged since fundraising began!
