We are a brand-new volunteer-run cricket club restarting in the local area (Crigglestone). Unfortunately, 2 seasons ago the club had to fold. However, due to a group of us moving into the local area over the past year with a love of cricket we have looked to form a new club. We see this as a great opportunity to restart this club which we believe has great potential to benefit the community. Our aim is to bring cricket back to the community at all ages whether physically abled or not. This season we are restarting the club with at least 20 members of an open age team (13 years or older). As well as partnering with a local community college. Running sessions for Camphill College working with a wide variety of less abled college students. We are re-joining the Pontefract and District Cricket League to play competitive cricket for the 2020 season. Since the ground has been out of operation for 2 seasons, we need to apply some of our focus this year, in preparation for the ongoing use of the club. Even over the past few months of us starting this team there has been a buzz around the community with more local people wanting to get involved in volunteering and playing.
