The idea
The COVID-19 crisis is proving to be a tough time for Bletchley Town Cricket Club. With the clubhouse shut and no cricket being played for the foreseeable future our source of income has been shut off.
Unfortunately we still have bills and overheads to pay so we have decided to start a fund to raise money to help cover the costs. The ECB are supporting crowd-funding on Spacehive by matching the first £100 worth of donations.
We want to ensure there is a place for the whole community to come together to play and enjoy cricket. It will be more important than ever once this is all over! We appreciate that not everyone associated with the club will be able to contribute but any help will be much appreciated in keeping the club afloat during this difficult time for everyone.
What we'll deliver
- Covering overhead costs of the club, rent, insurance.
- Grounds maintenance costs
Why it's a great idea
This fund will be used to ensure that the club is still here once everything is over. Once we come through this horrible time sports and community clubs will be required more than ever. Both to get active and to socialise at a safe distance of course.
This fund-raising will ensure that maintenance costs can be met so that our Manor Fields ground will be ready when called upon.
We hope you can support our fundraising and hope to see you all at Manor Fields in the near future!
THANK YOU
Steps to get it done
- Our main milestone will be completed when the COVID-19 crisis is over and cricket can be played again
