More about our impact
The local economy
Both community events contirbuted to the local economy by bringing audiences to see the shows.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Of those that visited the project 15 were volunteers who supported the sessions and rehearsals, and were part opf delivering the festivals where performances were held. Of the session partcicpamnts all were able to build confidence in public speaking and performance, all part of skills needed as part of education and work experience.
Arts, culture & heritage
We provided arts and cultural participatory experiences in Rossendale that wouldn't have otherwise existed for chilredn and young people with access barriers. This also meant we were able to proivide 2 public performances which supported local community events.
Activity, health and leisure
All our sessions are active and get people moving. They are set at the right level for each partcicpant and can include dance or choreograpy that supports storytelling.
