Thousands have been to see #ADPRiotTour shipping container since it landed outside B&M last Tuesday! Artist Jimmy Cauty switched it on as part of great launch event and has been really pleased with the public engagement. Poet Ailsa Holland (both pictured) has been running placard-making workshops all week. Along with art lovers and unsuspecting shoppers, visitors have come from all over the north-west to see it. And its not over yet...
The #ADPRiotTour hits Macc from tomorrow 11am. Come down at 6.30pm for a domestic commotion (drumming), shipping 'launch' (by the Mayor) and who knows what else. Then a launch party at Mash Guru at 7pm (for those who have a ticket - its sold out) to hear artist Jimmy Cauty, words and music. Thank you all for helping make this happen. (Queries to [email protected])
Jimmy Cauty's giant ADP container arrives Monday evening in Exchange St car park and is open(ie lights switched on inside) 11am-7pm 15th-21st Nov. A special pamphlet tells the story of Macc's 1812 riot. All welcome to join the fun Tue evening: 6.30pm riotous drumming on household appliances and a 'launch'. 7.30pm ADP party at Mash with the artist, music and spoken word (tickets £10 towards the cause from [email protected]). Saturday 19th is full of activities, from placard-making (12-3pm), poems for a Potato Riot, discussion, a food-raiser, a walking game, a KLF tribute and more. See facebook event page for details. Thanks so much for helping make it happen, Jane, Ailsa, Neil and Lynne
