More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

Adults and children have chosen to walk to school instead of going by car, thus reducing our carbon footprint and traffic congestion at the school.

The local economy

The local economy

The work itself was constructed by people who live in the village and they have demonstrated excellent work.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

The project has shown that local volunteers can achieve results and attract donations and grants by crowdfunding in order to benefit the local community, with £9,500 raised in 105 days, plus an "In Kind" donation worth some £2,800.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

People use this footpath for walking, including taking their dogs for a walk and as a good way to reach the playing field, its play and exercise facilities and its Pump Track for bikes. It forms part of a wider network of paths which enable people to enjoy the attractiveness of the open countryside around Tilston and its historic landscape.
