More about our impact
The environment
It's amazing that such a small project could create such an impact. It has totally brightened and enhanced the area. So much so that we've created another area beside the cafe with planters and some seating. We'd love to add some free standing tables and chairs, as well as more lighting.
The local economy
I'm sure the cafe has seen an increase in footfall. There are several groups that meet regularly again.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Our FoWP volunteers have helped with painting and weeding of the area.
Activity, health and leisure
There is an opportunity for members of the public to walk in the park and enjoy a seat on the terrace. They are welcome to picnic there or buy refreshments from the cafe. Families and friends regularly meet on the terrace.
