The idea
Mental health affects all of us but it isn't a one size fits all, we want to offer men a space to explore various aspects of mental health through different mediums.
Our workshops will use a mixture of creativity, play, exploration, self reflection, life skills and tools to examine modern masculinity.
Workshops focus on building connections, developing confidence and self expression. Participants will have the opportunity to be witnessed, the freedom to be open and discover in a safe and brave environment.
Themes of the workshops may include but not limited to -
Masculinity, what it means to be a man, the challenges men face, where do we find hope, how we show up for each other. As well as practical sessions for aspects of day to day life, such as legal, financial and physical health advice.
Workshops are held in the centre of Canterbury and are easily accessible.
What we'll deliver
- 14 bespoke male centred workshops
- 6 Guest facilitator sessions
- Potential for creative sharings (for those who wish to take part)
Why it's a great idea
The aims of No one Here is me Productions Ltd are suicide prevention through creativity, connection and compassion.
Our workshops will meet these aims by introducing a new safe space where men can come together. Participants will be encouraged to be brave and vulnerable, so that authentic connections can be made. Participants will benefit in numerous ways such as building confidence, meeting like minded people, learning and sharing new skills and practical knowledge. Workshops will offer a creative outlet building self esteem and opportunity for self reflection. We will create a community with a foundation of understanding and compassion to directly tackle loneliness. Nurturing growth in a non- judgemental environment which will enable us to catch people in crisis and signpost them to necessary services.
