More about our impact
The environment
The festival was off-grid and used recycled materials. The workshops helped to raise awareness about what different birds need for habitat and nesting materials.
The local economy
Involved small local businesses through food stalls: the Hungry Hedgehog food van and Robinson's ice-cream were both at the festival, and the cakes were provide by 4.1.2 cafe in Wheelton.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Volunteers helped at the music workshops and on the day of the festival itself.
Arts, culture & heritage
The music workshops introduced people to different instruments and created songs and costumes for each bird.
Activity, health and leisure
Over 200 people enjoyed creative activities outdoors, spent family time together, explored different musical instruments and had fun together!
