Support the Community Help Network campaign:

We have been inspired by the community response to the recent Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and seeing so many people coming together to help each other in these uncertain times.
Waltham Forest Council has set up a Community Help Network to support our older and most vulnerable residents directly, as well as providing a way for residents to help each other.
This includes launching a helpline in partnership with Age UK Waltham Forest, local food banks and Waltham Forest Citizen Advice Bureau for those who are over 70 and don’t have easy access to community support, as well as those who have been advised by the NHS to self-isolate for 12 weeks in the same position. These partner organisations are doing a fantastic job of responding, and we have put in additional support to bring together smaller organisations across the borough so we can co-ordinate our efforts and reach as many people as possible.
The council is working with our partnership organisations to manage and fund increased demands in requests for help, and with supplies, staff, volunteers and logistics.
All money raised will go to directly to community organisations and volunteers to enhance the support further.
Thank you to the many groups and individuals who are supporting others in their neighbourhoods and across the borough.
