More about our impact
The local economy
How did your project help the local economy? Our project played a significant role in strengthening the local economy by empowering women who have experienced trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, or depression. By improving their mental health, self-esteem, and self-confidence, we helped them regain their independence and re-enter social and professional life. As a direct result of our initiative: Around 15 women secured new jobs, increasing their financial stability. Approximately 50 women reported significant improvements in their mental well-being, allowing them to engage more actively in their communities and consider employment or entrepreneurial opportunities. The project encouraged women to start their own businesses, fostering local entrepreneurship and economic growth. We provided opportunities for self-employed women—many of whom had faced similar struggles—to work within the project. This not only supported their businesses but also gave them a platform to inspire others. By helping women rebuild their confidence and financial independence, we are also positively impacting their families, particularly their children, who represent the future of our community. Our initiative is a step towards breaking cycles of economic hardship and creating a more resilient, self-sufficient society.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Our project has created valuable opportunities for women to gain employment, engage in volunteering, and pursue further education. We employed self-employed women in the field of well-being, helping them develop and promote their businesses while sharing their expertise with others. Many women from GROW, a charity known for its strong volunteer base, became involved in our project, further expanding their experience and community engagement. Around 10 women started volunteering as a direct result of our initiative. This not only allowed them to build new friendships but also gave them a sense of purpose, increased confidence, and motivation to step out of their homes. Women of all ages participated in our workshops, which focused on building self-confidence, independence, and concentration. These skills helped them feel more motivated to pursue further education and training, increasing their chances of securing better job opportunities. Through our work, we have seen firsthand how women transform their lives by attending our workshops. Many have shared their experiences with friends and family, encouraging more women to join and benefit from what we offer. By fostering employment, volunteering, and education, our project has had a lasting impact, empowering women to take control of their futures and contribute positively to their communities.
Arts, culture & heritage
Our project significantly contributed to arts, culture, and heritage by fostering creativity and self-expression among women. Through artistic workshops, participants engaged deeply with art, using it as a medium for healing and personal growth. The culmination of this process in a public exhibition showcased around 90 paintings, offering a powerful visual representation of their inner journeys. The exhibition not only celebrated their artistic achievements but also strengthened their confidence and connection to the cultural and creative world. By sharing their work with the public, the project encouraged a greater appreciation for art and inspired both the participants and the audience. This initiative has helped integrate personal transformation with cultural expression, leaving a meaningful and lasting impact.
Activity, health and leisure
Our project promoted activity, health, and leisure by offering free creative and well-being workshops that provided women with new ways to take care of their physical and mental health. Many women seek meaningful leisure activities but often lack the financial means to access them. By removing this barrier, our project created an inclusive space where participants could engage in activities that nurtured both body and mind. The dance classes helped improve physical fitness, coordination, and overall well-being, while the 24 massages offered a chance for relaxation and self-care, allowing women to experience the benefits of therapeutic touch. Additionally, meditation sessions and well-being workshops had a profound impact, helping participants reduce stress, improve mindfulness, and enhance their overall emotional resilience. By providing these opportunities, our project encouraged women to prioritize their health and explore creative leisure activities that contribute to their overall happiness and self-care.
