Who are Vivo Music Masters?
My name is Taras (also known as Terry) and with my family and our team of trusted professional music teachers, we run music lessons, offering various instruments in the local area of Mill Hill, Hendon and Golders Green. Together we are known as "Vivo Music Masters"
Vivo originates from the Italian Music Term meaning 'alive'. Being a family of musicians, our wish is to spread the joys that music gives, keeping us alive.
How our story unfolded:
In July 2018, we began our group piano programme at Hendon Library, and this resulted in not only a large number of children attending lessons, but resulted in more people using the Library on Wednesday afternoons and all day Saturday.
Vivo began with just two hours on Saturday only and then grew to 7 hours for all piano classes. On Wednesday lessons were taking place from 3.30pm to 7.30pm.
Due to the popularity and success of the piano classes on Saturdays and Wednesdays, we had expanded the provision for guitar groups on Thursdays from October 2019, running from 3.30pm-6.30pm
At the Library we have held an open day for the community to come and learn for free to experience music, and had also planned one for this summer, which sadly couldn't go ahead due to the lockdown measures.
Please support us in our project to bring Vivo to every Library in Barnet. That way, we can make use of the currently idle spaces, which are not frequented as often as in the past, by offering affordable lessons in music, jobs for local music teachers, and host frequent concerts and musical events for the local residents.
