More about our impact
The environment
We have reduced our carbon footprint by offering as many activities within our locality. We are promoting sustainability such as reducing waste and supporting eco friendly initiatives when selecting our activities.
The local economy
We have accessed local venues and purchased supplies and materials from local suppliers, this has helped to boost the local economy by supporting local businesses and also encourage their growth. We have been fostering community development throught the delivery of our project.
Volunteering, jobs & education
We have been supporting local businesses in goods and services. The project offers free training in UEB Braille to anyone who is wanting to learn. This enhances the employability of our community members and potentially could offer employability advantages and increase their income.
Arts, culture & heritage
Awareness and education to raise awareness about local arts, cultural and heritage has been at the centre of our projects outreach. We have been collaborating with organizations, businesses to amplify their impact and resources. We have been sharing information on our digital platforms to leverage content related to arts, culture and heritage.
Activity, health and leisure
We have organised free events that advocate the local outdoor spaces and sports facilities. We have also hosted informational sessions on health and wellbeing topics.
