The idea
Defibrillators save lives with 9 million visits a year and all sorts of activities having three units available across the park could save the lives of park users.
- To be purchased from the British Heart Foundation.
- LBTH Parks has agreed to install and maintain the units with daily checks
- The defibrillators will be placed in 3 locations in the park, points with the highest amount of footfall
- The areas they are being installed are covered by CCTV and there will be signage stressing the importance of the devices
- With no defibrillator’s currently in the park, the closest public use defibrillator is approx. 1 mile away. Given the importance of utilising a defibrillator within the crucial 3-5 minute period post-cardiac arrest, we believe the presence of a defibrillator in the park will save lives
- The defibrillators will be registered with National Defibrillator Network as part of the bid to help save more lives from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA).
What we'll deliver
