Unlock creativity & wellbeing in Sutton
I want to get people involved in arts to help them use their creativity as a tool of wellbeing and mental health. My workshops are aimed to inspire and motivate creativity in a friendly environment.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
About the Project Creator
I am an italian artist and illustrator based in Carshalton, London.
I work mainly with watercolors and ink, but I like to use mixed media too: oil paints, collage, acrylics, pastels and pencils are often used together to create colorful, interesting textures and effects. My artwork is strongly inspired by nature, but also by human feelings and conditions, and I like to explore them by combining the human figure with other natural or abstract elements. I am passionate about environment and human rights, and I like to use my art to address these issues: she firmly believes that, like Nina Simone said, "An artist should always reflect their times" and speak up about important issues.
I often incorporates lettering and modern calligraphy in my illustrations.
In 2020, during UK national lockdown, I created an art series called "You Are Not Alone" hoping to cheer up people who sees them with their cheerful colors and with the aim to communicate that w are all in this together, and certain feelings are shared and relatable. My aim is to make people connect with my artwork at an emotional level.
I believe everyone can and should be creative, and for this reason I created a number of creative classes and workshops aimed at incouraging creative discovery and the joy of art.
