Hello! I'm Shalize Nicholas, 11 years in marketing, former CRM Manager at Oak Furniture Superstore (increased email revenue 3×) Founder of Marketing Mill Studios and Former Designer of Madia & Matilda a sustainable fashion brand based in Stroud's town center for 9 years and previously a designer for Tesco's and Littlewood's, these days I have been involved in community projects and running the social media for Transition Stroud and the Chambers of Trade. With a decade of experience in eco-conscious design and textile reuse, I've been dedicated to transforming the way we perceive and interact with fashion.
My journey began with a passion for reducing textile waste and promoting circular fashion. Over the years, I've collaborated with local artisans, environmental groups, and fashion retailers to promote eco-friendly practices. This path led me to establish community workshops focused on upcycling and repair, empowering individuals with the skills to breathe new life into garments.
Emergence Re-Stock is the culmination of these efforts—a project designed to transform surplus textiles into valuable resources through upcycling workshops, community engagement, and sustainable retail opportunities.
I believe that by coming together, we can create a model for circular fashion that not only benefits our environment but also strengthens our local economy and community bonds.
Thank you for considering support for this initiative. Let's work together to make Stroud a beacon of sustainable innovation!
