untitled-design-47-1.png

Hello, Thanks to your support, Emergence Restock has taken another exciting step forward. Over the past week we've been settling into the space, holding community consultation sessions, meeting potential volunteers and collaborators, and beginning to plan the next phase of activity. The response so far has been incredibly encouraging, with local residents, makers, artists and community organisations all sharing ideas for how the space could evolve. We're continuing those conversations with a further consultation session this evening and would love to hear from anyone who would like to get involved. Consultation tonight 6:30pm at Little Ginger 1 Kendrick St. [email protected] Thank you again for helping make this possible. We're looking forward to sharing more updates as the project develops. Best wishes, Shalize & Stella Emergence Restock

Progress on the Space2 months ago
untitled-design-26.png

Behind the scenes, we’ve been making steady progress towards creating a dedicated space for this project. There is still work to do, but each step is moving us closer to a place where workshops, events, and community activity can happen under one roof. From early planning to practical groundwork, this phase is all about building strong foundations. This space is designed to support local makers, sustainable businesses, and community-led ideas. It will be flexible, creative, and rooted in Stroud. Thank you to everyone who has supported the journey so far. Your backing is helping turn this from an idea into something real.

The impact of Just SUST Festival is still being felt.2 months ago

Since the event, we’ve had ongoing conversations, feedback, and reflections from people who attended. What stood out most is how much it resonated. From the fashion show to the wider conversations around sustainability, people are still talking about it, sharing ideas, and thinking differently about their relationship with clothing and consumption. It was not just a one-off event. It has become a starting point. Because of that momentum, the next step is already in motion. We’ll be recording a podcast with Amplified Stroud, speaking directly with the founder about how the festival was received, what worked, and what we learned. This will also lead into a wider podcast series, opening up more conversations around sustainability, creativity, and community-led change. This is how the project grows. Not just through events, but through ongoing dialogue and shared thinking.

A Big Moment for Stroud2 months ago

There’s been a real buzz in Stroud this week, with Joanna Lumley visiting to officially open the newly transformed Five Valleys and celebrate the launch of the Home of Vintage. This moment goes beyond a celebrity visit. It highlights the direction Stroud is moving in, with a strong focus on independent businesses, vintage, reuse, and creativity at the centre of the town’s future. The opening marks a major milestone in the area's regeneration, bringing together local traders and makers around a shared vision for a more sustainable high street. For projects like ours, this is significant. It shows that what we are building locally around repair, reuse, and community-led fashion is part of something much bigger. We’re also excited to be hosting a workshop in this space next week, continuing that momentum by giving people practical skills to repair, rework, and reconnect with their clothes. From Just SUST Festival to workshops and now spaces like Home of Vintage gaining momentum, the energy around sustainable fashion in Stroud is growing. This is not just a trend. It is a shift.

We are grateful for additional support that is helping the Emergence Restock project move forward, including support from the Climate & Nature Fund and a contribution from Ecotricity. Alongside this, we have received clothing donations from community members at Just Sust Festival and local clothing brands, which will be used for repair workshops, upcycling activity and resale.
