Tottenham Ploughman RiverFest
The Tottenham Ploughman RiverFest, Sat 16th Sep, is the only free festival in the east of the borough. We need your help to bring it to Lordship Rec this year, and keep it free.
About the Project Creator
Tottenham Ploughman was founded 5 years ago to bring community run festivals and events to Tottenham. Now run twice a year, the WinterFest showcases the brilliant Bruce Castle and the RiverFest shows off Lordship Rec and aims to highlight the state of our local rivers with our 7 pledges.
All events are about supporting and celebrating our amazing Tottenham based producers, artists, craftspeople, beer makers, musicians, singers, cheese makers and much more. We give space to people outside of N15 and N17 but Tottenham is always at the heart of what we do.
The 1st event began with locally made cheese, craft beer and bread, none of which was sold locally; we created a festival around ploughmans plates and thus the Tottenham Ploughman was born. 5 years on, Wildes Cheese are widely known, Flourish Bakery have moved on and out of the area and Redemption Beer now have their own tap room and can be found in local pubs (hooray!). We continue to celebrate our community and welcome everyone to our festivals.
Cheryl who founded The Tottenham Ploughman runs the festivals on a voluntary basis as she has a full time job. For the RiverFest she pairs up with The Hub team at Lordship Rec.
