Thornton-Cleveleys Gala 2025

Thornton-Cleveleys Gala By Thornton-Cleveleys Gala

Building on the success of last-year's first two-day event, Thornton-Cleveleys Gala would once again like to hold a music festival to showcase local talent, in advance of Gala Day.

Back this project!

Continuing a tradition established in 1898, this year Thornton-Cleveleys Gala Day will take place on Sunday 15 June 2025, featuring the parade through the town, the crowning of the Gala Queen and Rosebud Queen, and the fun-fair. We would like to extend the Gala once again to become a two-day event, by holding a music event on Saturday 14 June 2025. If we are successful in obtaining sufficient funding, this will enable us to showcase local emerging and established musical talent, including local dance, drama and music clubs, as well as local bands and musicians. Building on the success of the first 2-day event held last year, we would also invite local food and drinks providers to take part in the accompanying food festival.

What we'll deliver:

  • Hire of stage and PA system and crew
  • Provision of Traffic Management, Security and First Aid services
  • Provision of seating area and toilet facilities

Why it's a great idea:

Extending the Gala into a two-day event will benefit the local economy by bringing many visitors into the area. The provision of a music event will enable local musicians to play to a wider audience, and gain new followers. For some, it will provide them with their first experience of playing on a professional stage in front of a live audience. The addition of the music event will contribute towards updating the Gala Day which was established in 1898, bringing in new ideas, new talent, new participants, and a new audience. This will help to preserve the legacy of Thornton-Cleveleys Gala, and to ensure its relevance and continuity in the years ahead.

Steps to get it done:

  • Hire of Stage, PA and crew
  • Booking of local food and drink providers
  • Hire of security, traffic management and First Aid
  • Hire of toilets
