The Square on The Line

Acclaimed artist, Michael Craig-Martin, has agreed to loan an iconic sculpture for The Square on The Line. The sculpture will transform people's experience of this historic section of the River Lea.

We are delighted to invite you to our Meet the Team event at Cody Dock on Sunday 26th June from 2 until 5pm. Come along and hear more about The Line and our project The Square on The Line. We'll be holding a couple of mini tours from Cody Dock to Three Mills and you'll be able to see where we intend to install the selected Michael Craig-Martin Sculpture. We'll also help you vote for your favourite sculpture! Bring your friends and family - the more the merrier! Delicious food and drink will be available :-). We look forward to seeing you.

Hello there, It has been a really good week, with lots of social media engagement including tweets of support from Jon Snow, David Bailey and Tessa Jowell. We've had some brilliant press, with a couple of articles in the Evening Standard (Last Friday and Today), The Newham Recorder, Time Out, The Londonist and Design Week. The deadline to vote for your favourite Michael Craig-Martin now closes on 26th June, so if you haven't done so already, please vote too! By the looks of it, it's quite a close race!! Go to www.artstack.com/tag/TheSquare We are busy preparing for our event which is confirmed for 26th June from 2pm to 5pm at Cody Dock; watch this space for further details next week. We hope you will be able to make it and please let your friends and family know about it, the more the merrier. We have almost reached £15,000 towards our target with over 100 backers, we are absolutely thrilled and we cannot thank you enough for the support.
