New life for The Old Rectory

We've finally done it. All the chairs and tables are having the final touches this week. We have painted the ceiling and the tops of the walls and also washed down all the wooden panelling. We have removed over 5,000 tacks, involved more than 30 volunteers and have a social value offer of new flooring which will be fitted by volunteers from Oren Environmental during the first week of December. We can't wait to show off the results.

Thanks to our amazing volunteers we now have some of our chairs reupholstered and fit to sit on as well as all our tables split up and looking great. We have opened up the Council Chamber for Heritage Open Day in September 2023 and everyone has admired the work that has been done so far.
