The environment
We've brought back furniture into use that might otherwise have been been sent to landfill
The local economy
The Council Chamber is now being used for various activities and events including training courses, arts and crafts and cultural events
Volunteering, jobs & education
48 people have volunteered so far in some way to help with the Council Chamber refurbishment including chair and table restoration and telling the heritage story of the room and the building
Arts, culture & heritage
We have now been able to open the Council Chamber for Heritage Open Days and other events.
Activity, health and leisure
Over 4000 people attended the Coronation Big Lunch and took part in a range of physical activities, we now have a walking group meeting each week for a 1-1.5 mile walk around the area, regular yoga sessions 3 times per week and have two youth clubs and Holiday, Activity and Food provision for young people all using Rectory Park and The Old Rectory as a base
