Festival aims to bring film and TV makers together
BBC NewsOrganisers of a film and TV festival have said they hope the event will encourage local creatives to collaborate on future projects.\n\nThe Bay International Film Festival is under way in Morecambe and 96 films are being screened at eight venues across the town.

The environment
1. Partnered with eco-organisation "Relic" to create festival award trophies from recycled materials 2. Implemented recycling policy for all festival materials 3. The local economy
Attracted visitors from across the UK and 3% from Europe - 38% of attendees came from outside the immediate area (Lancashire, Cumbria, wider North), bringing more visitors to Morecambe Utilized multiple local venues (Reel Cinema, West End Playhouse, More Music, Johnny's Warehouse, King's Arms Morecambe, Arndale Centre) Created temporary employment for local residents

- 20 local teenagers (16-18 years old) participated in the "Teen Media Team" programme, gaining hands-on experience in media production - Provided training and mentorship to students from Lancaster University and Lancaster and Morecambe College - Created internship opportunities for Lancaster University students - Organised animation workshops for children - Held film forum and Q&A sessions with filmmakers, providing educational opportunities
