Due to Covid-19 and government restrictions the ECB has suspended all recreational cricket. This has led to an unprecedented and total loss of income for the Team at a time of year that would be our only real income period from start of season with member subscriptions, ongoing match fee income and other fundraising. Our sponsors have also been unable to support the Team at the present time. The Team have made all attempts to reduce non-essential costs at this time but some essential costs remain to for the Team to retain viability for a return to cricket later this summer (if allowed) or for future seasons. We have launched this fund to appeal to Team members, friends of the Team and our local community to support the Team through this difficult time and ensure we can return to cricket as soon as safe to do so. Our Team has run for 24 years and we hope to celebrate our 25th Anniversary in 2021 plus many more seasons beyond that with your help. Please support your local Team.

Why it's a great idea:

This will allow all players the opportunity to practice meaningfully and safely as the chances are that team sports will not be played for the foreseeable future. This will keep players of all ages, physically and mentally active and allow us to offer a meaningful way of developing skills. We want the Team to survive beyond this crisis and with your help, we will be able to play again when it's safe to so.
