Tarporley Community Centre is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation with 10 volunteer trustees who run the Centre and ajoining field. We have a large hall, small hall and two rooms which can be hired by individuals and organisations. Our Main Hall holds a maximun of 160 and is very suitable for Birthday, Christening and other parties. It is equipped with a stage, an audio visual system, stage lighting and supported by a kitchen and toilets. Access is DDA compliant. The Amateur Dramatics group hold plays twice a year, and many local organisations such as the Arts Society Tarporley, Flower Club and U3A hold regular meetings. The Rotary Club holds monthly market and shows monthly films. Exercise and Dance groups meet weekly and Charity Fund Raisers are regularly heldS. The smaller hall and the two rooms are hired by smaller groups, often related to U3A special interests. The Army Cadets are long term users of the smaller hall and benefit from having an office and storage area.
We have a continual commitment to improving our factiliites and over the last few years we have replaced our roof, updated the toilet facilities and improved the acoustics of our two largest rooms.
This project will help to make us a safer place for people to hire as we will be adhering to the current fire safety standards. Being successful with this application will mean that we can continue to spend on our program of improvements to make us more environmentally sustainable and serve the Community in the best possible way.
