To all our backers for the project, 'Take a Walk on Kilburn High Road', THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Thank you for all your support along this journey. Unfortunately, we did not reach our target (£12,500) by the deadline (September 5th, 2023). The Camden Council's pitch (£6000) would only be awarded to us if the crowdfunding campaign on the Spacehive Platform (The site where you pledged) is successful (which means that we had reached £12,500 by September 5th, 2023). Since we didn't reach the full amount of the target crowdfunding by the deadline of this crowdfunding campaign, all the funding should have been be refunded today through the payment method you used. Hence, all your input will be returned back to the account that you have used for this project. (Please email [email protected] if you haven’t received the refund by the end of this week, 2023) However, this ending of the crowdfunding campaign does not stop us from continuing our community partnership in Kilburn, through community workshops, live events, screenings, community festivals, seminars, upskill workshops, reading groups and many more... -------------------- We also have some exciting news we would like to share with you! PAPRIKA Collective will act as the cultural partner to collaborate with the Kilburn Library Centre and University of Middlesex University on a brand-new project funded by SHAPE Involve and Engage 2023 from The British Academy. As a not-for-profit grassroots arts organisation based in Kilburn, we are thrilled about this partnership that is a part of this journey to develop Kilburn Museum Lab, where the connections, creativity and ideas will be flourishing. We are already excited about working in collaboration with students, educators and research-ers from the programmes in Interior Architecture and Design at Middlesex University and Camden Council’s Kilburn Library to develop innovative and creative workshops and public programmes that link research, the creative arts and local communities.’ You can find more information here about this exciting project: https://www.paprika.org.uk/september-2023-new-cultural-partnership-awarded-by-british-academy -------------------- Our next SPECIAL EVENT will be on October 7th. New partnership with Kingsgate Cafe3 years ago

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Kingsgate Cafe, a newly opened community eatery located in the heart of Kilburn. This family-run business boasts an experienced Indian chef with over 40 years of experience in serving families throughout London. By teaming up with Kingsgate Cafe, we aim to support and uplift local businesses in the Kilburn neighbourhood. Through the generous support of our crowdfunding campaign on Spacehive, we have been able to design and print eye-catching flyers for Kingsgate Cafe. These flyers will help spread the word about this hidden gem, showcasing the exquisite flavors of authentic Indian cuisine that the cafe has to offer. Moreover, Kingsgate Cafe has already been an integral part of our community, actively contributing to past artist-led workshops and events organised by PAPRIKA Collective. Their delectable curries, freshly made pakora, rolls, and samosas, among other mouthwatering home-cooking style dishes, have been a highlight at these gatherings. Building on this successful collaboration, we are excited to continue working with Kingsgate Cafe on an upcoming project. Together with local artists and creatives, we will be developing a captivating public artwork that will be proudly displayed by the cafe's storefront. This initiative not only supports the artistic talents within our community but also adds to the vibrant atmosphere of Kilburn. In a remarkable show of commitment, Kingsgate Cafe has generously donated £100 towards the public artwork project, just 14 days before the end of our crowdfunding campaign. Their contribution exemplifies their dedication to our community's growth and prosperity. We kindly invite you to join us in this endeavor by making a new and additional donation. By doing so, you will enable us to work with more independent businesses like Kingsgate Cafe and facilitate even more gatherings that bring our community closer together. Your support will not only help us nurture and showcase local talent but also strengthen the fabric of our neighborhood by fostering collaboration and celebrating the rich diversity of Kilburn. Together, let's make a difference and create a thriving community where local businesses and artistic expression can thrive. We sincerely appreciate any contribution you can make to our crowdfunding campaign. Thank you for your support! PAPRIKA Collective.

Dear valued backers, We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and generosity. Thanks to your contributions, we recently hosted an incredibly successful community event: SOUND OUT, led by local artist Sharon Gal at Kilburn Tin Tabernacle, that gives participants and the local community the opportunity to sound out the 160 years old historical space, that brought together residents from all walks of life in Kilburn. It was truly a remarkable experience that would not have been possible without your belief in our vision. The event was a testament to the power of community and the impact we can make when we come together. We witnessed grassroot community connecting, sharing stories, voices, and fostering a sense of belonging that is so vital in our ever-evolving world. It was a celebration of the unique spirit that defines Kilburn, and we are immensely proud to have facilitated such an unforgettable gathering. The success of this event has further fueled our commitment to breathe new life into this project, Take a Walk on Kilburn High Road. We firmly believe that the Kilburn High Road holds immense potential to become a vibrant hub that nurtures creativity, fosters inclusivity, and amplifies the voices of our diverse community. However, in order to transform this vision into reality, we need your continued support. We kindly ask you to consider extending your support through additional funding. Your generosity will enable us to embark on the next phase of this transformative journey, which includes transforming the many store fronts, disused community spaces and empty council houses into a thriving space that benefits everyone in Kilburn. With your contribution, we can create a space that cultivates dialogue, hosts workshops, showcases local talent, and empowers individuals to shape their own narratives. Together, we can create a lasting impact on Kilburn and its residents. Your belief in our mission has already proven invaluable, and we are truly humbled by your trust. We invite you to join us once again on this remarkable journey as we reimagine the happenings along Kilburn High Road and strengthen the bonds that make Kilburn such a special place to call home. Thank you again for your incredible support. We look forward to the possibility of working hand in hand with you to make this vision a reality. Warmest regards, Ada PAPRIKA Collective
