To all our backers for the project, 'Take a Walk on Kilburn High Road', THANK YOU VERY MUCH! Thank you for all your support along this journey. Unfortunately, we did not reach our target (£12,500) by the deadline (September 5th, 2023). The Camden Council's pitch (£6000) would only be awarded to us if the crowdfunding campaign on the Spacehive Platform (The site where you pledged) is successful (which means that we had reached £12,500 by September 5th, 2023). Since we didn't reach the full amount of the target crowdfunding by the deadline of this crowdfunding campaign, all the funding should have been be refunded today through the payment method you used. Hence, all your input will be returned back to the account that you have used for this project. (Please email [email protected] if you haven’t received the refund by the end of this week, 2023) However, this ending of the crowdfunding campaign does not stop us from continuing our community partnership in Kilburn, through community workshops, live events, screenings, community festivals, seminars, upskill workshops, reading groups and many more... -------------------- We also have some exciting news we would like to share with you! PAPRIKA Collective will act as the cultural partner to collaborate with the Kilburn Library Centre and University of Middlesex University on a brand-new project funded by SHAPE Involve and Engage 2023 from The British Academy. The title of this project is: Kilburn Museum Lab. Ada Hao, Director of PAPRIKA Collective says, ‘Kilburn, with its rich history and cultural diversity, presents a unique opportunity to capture and celebrate the diverse voices of the collective heritage. As a not-for-profit grassroots arts organisation based in Kilburn, we are thrilled about this partnership that is a part of this journey to develop Kilburn Museum Lab, where the connections, creativity and ideas will be flourishing. We are already excited about working in collaboration with students, educators and research-ers from the programmes in Interior Architecture and Design at Middlesex University and Camden Council’s Kilburn Library to develop innovative and creative workshops and public programmes that link research, the creative arts and local communities.’ You can find more information here about this exciting project: https://www.paprika.org.uk/september-2023-new-cultural-partnership-awarded-by-british-academy -------------------- Our next SPECIAL EVENT will be on October 7th.
