Tackleyvillage Memorial Hall

The Latest from Tackley Village Hall - A warmer future

Thanks to the incredible support of Westhive, local backers, and our community,  Tackley Village Memorial Hall has taken an important step towards a warmer, more energy-efficient, and sustainable future.

The 'A warmer Future@ project successfully raised over £18,600 to improve the insulation and install new infrared heating with in the village hall.  These improvements are helping to create a more comfortable, welcoming space for wveryone who uses the hall throughout the year.

the project focused on two key upgrades:

  • increasing the roof insulation from 150 mm to 300 mm
  • Installing new infrared heaters in the main hall.

These works complement the hall's existing ground source heat pump system and significantly improv the buildings energy efficiency .

Tackley Village hall is far more than just a building - it is the beating heart of our community.

For generations, the hall has provided a place where people of all ages can connect, celebrate, learn, exercise, volunteer, and support on another.  From the toddler groups to the over 60's clubs, community markets to local history events,  the hall plays a vital role in reducing isolation and bringing people together.

Before the project, the hall struggled to maintain confortable tempertures during the colder months.  Heating was slow to respond, costly to run, and increasingly difficult for users and volunteers to manage.

The new heating and insulation improvements are already making a real difference.

The hall is now warmer and more welcoming for regular users, visitors and volunteers.  community groups can meet in comfort during winter months, making activities more enjoyabnle and accessible for everyone.  this is especially important for:

  • Older residents
  • Young children and families
  • Vulnerable and isolated community members
  • Evening user groups and social clubs
