Updates
Our Open Day & Celebration takes place tomorrow on Saturday 29th April. Doors open at 10am where everyone is welcome to come and try table tennis in the Bob Hope Academy. There will be speeches and thank yous at 1pm. At 2pm, Head Coach at GB Para, Andrew Rushton, will lead a training session involving 4 of our wonderful GB Paralympian Athletes and the Club's Juniors. There will be an array of home made cakes and beverages. We know many of you live a good distance away, but if you can pop in, you would be very welcome - so that we can say thank you in person. You can find us at the Bob Hope Academy, to the rear of Elim Church, Nantwich: London Rd, Nantwich CW5 6LW
As the lighter nights and warmer days approach, we are organising an open day event to showcase what has been achieved by the 'Table Tennis for all In Nantwich' project. It will be a day of celebration and thanks to all of you who have followed and supported our journey. There will be a full day of events, where we can promise you a warm welcome. A more detailed programme will be issued shortly.
Whoop, 130 people have pledged since fundraising began!
When we embarked on this crowd funding journey we did so with some trepidation. The target seemed huge, but we attacked the project with energy and optimism. It has been heart-warming to see the range of support we have received from parents, table tennis players (local and nationwide), the local community, local businesses, friends and family, schools and of course Cheshire East Council. The number of backers is actually higher then that quoted, as many people have raised money and donated via the club. We now need to begin making plans and creating our vision for the club & the Bob Hope Academy. (Named after Bob, who established the table tennis club at Elim Church) . Thank you so much.
Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
