Due to Covid-19 we lost our sponsorship and with out our sponsors we are struggling a lot, with cricket back from few weeks everyone is excited. ECB have start supporting lower cricket club is great.
My name is Ismail Iqbal and I am the Chairman of Elite Cricket Club which has been running since 2011. Elite Cricket Club players are mainly from the Cheetham Hill Manchester community. We are a part of the Greater Manchester Amateur Cricket League (GMACL). The league is 100years old and is one of the oldest in Manchester. Elite Cricket Club is mainly running on self-funding with players contributing themselves and with some sponsorship funding,The costs of running the club has increased every season. These costs include, ground hiring fee, umpire fee and leagues fee players kit and equipment. This season due to Covid -19 we did not currently have any sponsorship for our cricket club. ECB support funding will help us towards paying cost of hiring ground. One of our main motivations is to help support youth stay active and encouraging them to stay away from drugs or any other bad activities. We always welcome youth to be part of our cricket club. We have had some amazing players.
