The idea is to organise fitness training, talks on mental health and healthy nutrition on a weekly basis. The workout is addressed to everyone and the talks are targeted at the Polish community.
Don't you think it is time to enjoy life a bit and recover after the recent lockdown?! So, bring your friends and family and join us at Summer Health Academy! We want to exercise together and support our wellbeing through relaxation, mindfulness and learning about methods to improve mental health and healthy nutrition. We will meet every week on our mats in beautiful Ravenscourt Park to train with a great fitness coach named Karolina Sobala and then afterwards enjoy a workout. We will rest listening to useful tips on how to take care of our physical and mental health. Don’t you think you and your children will love it? So, please support this idea and see you soon in Ravenscourt Park!
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
There are plenty of benefits of this project. It will: - reduce loneliness, - teach about techniques on improving wellbeing, - improve mental health, - break stereotypes about mental health issues, - familiar participants with healthy nutrition, - encourage application of a healthy lifestyle, - reduce risk of illness caused by unhealthy nutrition, - improve physical health, - increase self-confidence, - make people feel happier, - create opportunities to spend quality time with children, - encourage parents to spend more time with their children outdoor, - create good examples for children.
Steps to get it done:
The project will promote a healthy life style by offering fitness workouts, nutrition & health therapist sessions as well as meetings with psychologists and psychotherapists. We also aim to talk about topics which are pretty often considered as taboo, like mental health issues or women's health (menopause, mental and physical needs of widows). These are universal problems referring to everyone. Therefore, bringing people together, discussing and sharing common problems will strengthen the sense of neighbourhood and belonging.
