I hope everyone is okay and managing to get out into the fresh air! Just a quick few lines to let you know about how the project is going. The Project 's momentum has taken a hit in the past couple of month with regards to outreach and numbers of volunteers being allowed to work with us us on site. Good News ! There are the highlights which have taken place in the past 3 month. The Second area fencing is up and standing in the Horse Ride and now the only piece of grass not a muddy quagmire. Tree felling of invasive tree species in the fence off area, this allows light into the undergrowth to help the bulbs come through Just before Christmas we manged to divert the flow of water away from the Rookery gardens by reclaiming a ditch and planting bulbs. We hope to open up our activities to a wider group of eager volunteers come the first Week of March. We plan to add more steps in the muddiest part of the Common near the Lodge and we are now working with Froglife to improve the flow of water by creating ponds for dragonflies and frogs. Please let me know if your interested or know of anyone else who is interested [email protected] Also, to let you know we are crowdfunding another project this time in the Rookery Gardens for a sensory garden please pledged a little or a lot. Your support if very much appreciated .
