This project will provide the necessary upgrading and extension of a busy parish centre and church and enable it to cope with its current and future needs. It will provide new and modern facilities to a number of existing groups and attract new ones that cannot be accommodated in the current facilities nor in any others in the community. The building will also be refurbished to make the community spaces more light, energy efficient and thereby more attractive for community users; as well as being more cost effective. Our aim is to provide adequate and appropriate space to support community events and group activities that will help more people to address their problems. One of St Paul’s aim is to support older people by providing new and enjoyable ways for them to be actively involved in the community, therefore helping to combat social isolation, improve social connections and reduce loneliness. We appreciate our older people and the role that they play in the community.
