We are a community volunteer group with a big vision and passion to end mental health suffering for everyone in the local community. We want to enable and empower people in the local community of Bridgnorth and surrounding areas to stay mentally healthy and reach their full potential.
Our volunteer-led organisation is committed to providing the best possible solutions to 'stay mentally healthy' with a focus on recovery and prevention through the various self-help training, services and events. Each volunteer gives their own time and expertise to ensure no one is left behind when learning how to 'stay mentally healthy' and reaching their full potential.
Affiliated with the SEJ Organisation we utilise the innovative evidence-based SEJ Process, whilst also collaborating with dedicated Delivery Partners, and like-minded organisations both locally and nationally. Implementing a comprehensive and holistic approach that delivers quality service.
Mary our founder is the originator and creator of the SEJ Process and all related training and services are derived from her own powerful and profound lived experience. Suffering with mental health issues from childhood, she has now been depression free for over 28 years. During this time she has used her wealth of experience to empower others to stay mentally healthy, and most importantly live to their true potential. Mary has worked with organisations like the Kings Trust, Kingston University, Health Care educators and providers, and local educational institutions.
The SMH Drop-in Café provides a first point of contact for those struggling with their mental health or looking to learn preventative measures. It also provides a safe space to speak. Services available include Stay Mentally Healthy training, workshops and 1-1 appointments. All services and events are provided for either free, donation-based or require a small fee to cover basic costs. They are open to everyone including children, young people, families and adults.
We know from years of research that people want to know how to empower themselves; they want to learn the skills to address their mental health and stay mentally healthy. For individuals seeking to learn how we have easily accessible training events and services available via the website.
