Updates
Hello - We just wanted to send you a quick update from St Andrew's in regards our ongoing Garden redevelopments. Over the last few months we have been supper busy and you will see a huge difference in the space with some great developments. In fact we were less then a month away from being able to announce the re-launch just in time to enjoy the gardens for the spring and summer. We hope you understand that in these unprecedented and difficult times - there will be a delay in when we can get the project completed, and that date as yet cannot be determined. Our community, staff and contractors health and wellbeing is of the utmost importance at this time - St Andrew's Church are protecting and supporting the local community and is encouraging staying at home and following the current self isolating guidance. Having said that we wanted to reassure you that as soon as we (and the world) is able, we will get the garden completed and fully open. All the new pollinator plants have been ordered, plants that's were removed were rehomed across Rugby's Parks, organic mater has been put in place to nurture our precious soil - and nature will work its wonders to transform the space. The memorial screens have been fully designed and are currently being fabricated by our skilled craftsmen - we hope that these will be in place over the coming months. They are truly beautiful and full of hope and love. Thankfully skilled crafts people tend to work in total isolation anyway! If you have purchased a memorial - Amber will be in touch in the next two weeks to finalise wording - alternatively you can contact her directly by emailing [email protected] Lastly the solar bench, bike racks and bike fixing station are all on order! If you have any questions or would like to have a more detailed update please contact [email protected] From all of us here we wish you peace, prayer and good health at this time - please reach out directly to the church is you are isolated, alone ore would like links to the community and volunteer groups across Rugby that could help you at the time.
The final designs and plans have now been drawn up for the garden and we will see work commence over the winter months - this is to limit the impact on the public and also to the current plants and environment. Our amazing Artist Blacksmith loved meeting you all at our public events through the summer and has presented us with some stunning designs for the memorial. Work will be starting on the fabrication in the next couple of weeks. As soon as this commences I will be able to share some photos with you all - as i'm sure your keen to this beautiful piece. O&co Blacksmiths will also join us for an event towards Christmas so watch this space for confirmation of dates. If you are particularly interested in seeing some of the fabrication - we can also organise a studio visit for small groups - please contact Amber on [email protected] Lastly thanks to your support, over the last few months we have been able to use a small amount of the funding to provide free activities, children's play day storytelling for the local community. We estimate 100's of people have already benefitted. Plans are in place for this to continue through the end of 2019 and into early 2020, with a launch of the garden aimed for early spring 2020. Join us on December 15th for Community Carols at St Andrew's - more details to follow soon!! If you want to know more about this and other events please join our mailing list by emailing [email protected] or following us on Facebook

Brilliant news, thanks everyone!
With huge thanks to the support of Rugby Borough Council we have almost reached our target! We can't wait to deliver this amazing project, it will have such an impact of Rugby town centre, there is such positive progress happening in the town right now and this will make all this difference.
