More about our impact
The environment
The help the event has had on the environment is that now my organization name is out there more people understands what we are about and what we have on offer to the local community, when seeking support for mental health.
The local economy
The project will boost the economy by giving the black males and the wider community, the confidence to go out and seek support and in turn as they internally feel as though they like themselves, they will look to find work or even turn to help others who they know that might be struggling to cope and by empowering the black male to think more deeply about how they are feeling will help them to reach out and share externally their own story.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Since the end of the project I have had a discussion with a client who is willing to take on some volunteering roles to help with his social isolation
Activity, health and leisure
By coming to the event it will allow them to get out of the house therefore increasing activity levels and they can meet with providers that could signpost them to further leisure activities. And connect with people they have not seen for a long time.
