More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

By taking our pop up social gaming sessions around the county we have reduced the need for travel. We have also been encouraging people to take a travel training course that means they have used more public transport. Our waffle trailer supplies are being sourced from locally and using recyclable packaging.

The local economy

The local economy

We have been able to use the waffle trailer in various settings and have run a Holiday Activities programme three times in the course of the project.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

We now have eight regular volunteers who have taken part in accredited learning, and have made presentations to 8 new Safe Places, to employers at the SEND employers forum and to the Learning Disability and Autism Strategy Boards for Northumberland sharing their own experiences.

Arts, culture & heritage

Arts, culture & heritage

Our team member brought back a range of ideas to link in with autism and the arts from his Churchill Foundation trip to the US and Japan. He is now in the process of planning an Autism Arts festival for Northumberland.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

Our programme has included physical activities alongside gaming, with multi sports sessions, rounders and walks.
