Lives Not Knives. Supporting the youth and Inspiring them to take control of their lives! To raise awareness about community activities that will encourage our youth to get involved.
Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.
• Providing a safe environment for families to attend and enjoy a day out • Creating awareness on how best we can support our youth • Hire of venue, Marquees and safety barriers • Invitation to variety of stall holders and service providers (at no cost to them and highlighting the local services available. • Hiring out fun and sports equipment for children and youth (Boxing Ring, Climbing wall, inflatables etc) Some of the activities available on the day: Hiring a Boxing Ring for an outdoor boxing exhibition with a Local Club. Hiking and Scouts groups & Activities Women’s support groups Academy & Disability support groups and much more...

Why it's a great idea:
Creating opportunities for our youth. Demonstrating the harms of knife crimes. Raising awareness about local activities and opportunities available for the youth and making it more accessible to parents and guardians.
Steps to get it done:
Last year the event was attended by approx. 4000+ people and it proved to be a great success. We hope to improve on the event this year extensively by offering a lot more opportunities than before.

VolunteerWE ARE A NATIONALLY REGISTERED CHARITY WITH A OFFICE IN LEICESTER WORKING IN 40 COUNTRIES INTERNATIONALLY. WITNESSING THE CRIME AND SITUATION LOCALLY OF OUR YOUTH; ONE NATION LEICESTER TOOK THE INITIATIVE TO START SOMETHING FOR THE LOCAL GROUPS TO ATTRACT THE YOUTH AND GET THEM OFF THE STREETS INTO PRODUCTIVE ACTIVITIES. ANY EXTRA FUNDS RAISED WILL BE DISTRIBUTED AMOUNT THE LOCAL GROUPS TO HELP THEM FURTHER THIER SERVICES OR INVEST IN MUCH NEEDED EQUIPMENT ETC.
