Critical Moment Theatre: new writing about how we live, from where we live.
We pioneer theatre in a variety of formats to enrich and connect today's communities.
Critical Moment launched in 2020 with Speaking Stones: Harringay and Beyond, a digital audio trail that brought isolated communites together in lockdown and gave a voice to the art on our streets.
The trail reached over 7,000 people across its various platforms (website, YouTube channel and GoogleMap) with engagement continuing to grow on Twitter.
We seek to connect local communities and we're committed to serving the community of emerging theatremakers in the early stages of their careers too. We provide paid opportunties for them to write and perform for a high-quality product.
For Speaking Stones: Harringay and Beyond, we provided work for 14 creatives at a time when many were without work because of the pandemic and excluded from other support.
