Space for youth

The idea is to run a six week youth project throughout the summer holidays, involving police talks, cooking classes, sexual awareness, health and hygiene, performing arts and charity work.

Sorry this project was unsuccessful, we did not reach our fundraising goal.

According to the statistics on www.police.uk there are 63 reported crimes in April alone. 12 of these are anti-social behaviour case's and one was possession of a weapon. Scary to think that this is only the crimes that got reported and is in just one month!

We have been in contact with our local police and community support officers and they are right behind us. Our officers are very interactive and helpful to the area and since we have contacted them about our project, they have agreed and are glad to potentially be involved in something that has many benefits to the community. This will be done via the visits and talks they will give to our youth club about topics such as knife, gang and other crime awareness. This confirmation was great news to us and has definitely got the ball rolling with our idea of having visits from uniformed services and other professionals.

Pump our Crowd!8 years ago

Our young people are doing there bit to drive our wanted Youth Club! They are extremely fond of the idea and are overflowing with ideas and excited for the potential things we have in store for them if we are a success. But not to get things twisted, they are aware that there is a chance this may not happen and that it is all down to crowdfunding, so they are doing their little bit here and there, from poster making, to participating in advertising our project, all in order to make our 'crowd' bigger and stronger than ever. Are you joining our journey? Thank you and lets keep going!
