Solar Swansea is a Swansea BID led project to create an urban solar farm on the flat roofs of Swansea city centre. We would attempt to secure government funding to install solar panels on as many of these flat roofs as possible. As part of this Swansea BID would form as many city centre businesses as possible into an energy consortium to use the energy produced. This combined with the Blue Eden project would potentially make Swansea city centre self-sustaining.

What we'll deliver:

  • A feasibility study to explore whether it is possible and the level of funding required.

Why it's a great idea:

A move towards a sustainable city centre

Steps to get it done:

  • Once targer reached engage Gower Power to conduct feasibility study
  • Publish study on BID website (Subject to confidentially and GPDR constraints)
