Smith Street Cycle Hub

Dear backers, Thank you all so much for your patience whilst we've been working away with designers and the council to finalise plans for the Smith Street Cycle Hub. We are closing in on the final design and a planning application will be submitted shortly and there is no indication that there should be any hinderance to the process. Spacehive have informed us that despite planning permission not being formally granted yet, the funds can be release to allow us to progress with the project, since a clear collaboration with the council has been evidenced. We should see those funds by the end of the month, which will allow us to move on to the next stage of the process. We'd like to thank the students from Coventry University for all their hard work on the project so far, and the fabulous ideas that they've submitted. We'll be sharing some of their plans over the coming weeks so follow our social media posts for more updates.

Last weekend was our deadline and we were close but not quite there, luckily we had some last minute donations from the wonderful traders on Smith Street, that took us over the line and we hit our fundraising target and are now into overfunding. We are very proud of what our community has achieved so far, and we want to thank every single person who has believed, supported, taken part and pledged.
