More about our impact

More about our impact

The environment

The environment

We have included environmental awareness and education about nature in all of our sessions, as well as keeping our own provision as eco friendly as possible.

The local economy

The local economy

Our project involved supportive therapies for the horses, to keep them fit and well to complete the work. This supported several small equine businesses.

Volunteering, jobs & education

Volunteering, jobs & education

Delivering this project enabled me to take on a part time (self employed) staff member and to offer volunteering/work experience placements to several young people.

Arts, culture & heritage

Arts, culture & heritage

We were able to include aspects of the local curriculum, encourage creativity and discuss cultural differences in relation to mental health and wellbeing throughout sessions.

Activity, health and leisure

Activity, health and leisure

Our project gave the children and adults involved the opportunity to engage with an activity outdoors in nature. We engaged with the environment around us, whatever the weather, and incorporated mindfulness, heavy work and physical activity throughout.
