Skreppa Horses CIC provide Equine Facilitated Learning sessions for children in Kent. My name is Becca and I am the founder of Skreppa Horses CIC. Having been in love with horses for most of my life, I have always wanted to share my knowledge and passion with others. There is no better therapy for the mind or body than time spent with horses. With a background in horse management and disabled riding coaching, I wanted to create a space for children to connect with horses more deeply as they explore the psychology, anatomy and history of the horse. With two young children of my own I have seen the pressures our society exerts on them and the need for escape into nature. To relax, breathe, reflect and grow. Our young people come from all areas of Kent, from all backgrounds and all abilities. We believe that the children who need to work with horses the most, may be the ones who will never get the opportunity. Our program incorporates practical skills with equine psychology and physiology. We are able to create a bespoke program of learning and development for each individual child with the aim of maximizing their potential, recharging their self worth and confidence and, most importantly, having lots of fun! Our funding options are designed to help us say yes to every child who wants to work with us.
Horses offer us the opportunity to explore the effect our own actions and behaviours are having on ourselves and others. They do not lie, they do not argue and they do not judge. Sometimes a safe space is all it takes for a child to discover their full potential.
