We are Short Heath Lest We Forget Community Interest Company, we were established on 16th September 2020. We are proud of the fact that to date we have been successful in completing several projects in our area, for service Veterans and for the General Public.
We were the people behind the new war Memorial and Flagpole at Lane Head Memorial, we took 70 military Service Veterans to Ye Olde Toll House for a three course Christmas meal.
We have supported a local bowls club as they needed funds to buy a new welfare cabin which also included us sponsoring an annual bowls competition.
Local dance groups, Brownies and football clubs have also been supported by us.
Last Christmas we hosted a mulled wine and mince pie Micheal Buble Christmas show in a Church and made a £500 donation to the Church. We also helped a local nursery who were after funds to hire a reindeer to make the kids winter wonderland come alive.
We currently have raised £9000 for Falklands Veterans and during this time have been made aware of the number of our Service Personnel that sadly have taken their own lives. Working outside on a project such as ours has been proven to help, these men and women have all sworn an oath to Her Majesty so what better than in Her Majesty's Jubilee year we try and help our people.
