More about our impact
The environment
All the teams that took part were local so it meant limited impact in terms of travel to the event.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Since the event, the club has been asked to provide hockey coaching in school half terms and Summer holidays for junior age pupils so that has meant an increase in the hours our volunteers do. In addition Fylde hockey coaches delivered hockey coaching at one of the Primary schools ensuring they could attend the event for the 1st time.
Arts, culture & heritage
Our event had a sport and fitness focus rather than arts, culture and heritage.
Activity, health and leisure
We have had contact with a local beavers and cubs group who want to offer hockey to their youngsters so a hockey event for them is planned. In addition another Primary school has opted to do hockey in their school along side their other sports. The club has benefitted as well with an increase in juniors attending junior coaching.
