Pathway to Glory through: Schools Tournaments and Festivals at Fylde Hockey Club Junior Club Coaching for new junior members England Hockey Talent Pathway for junior players.
Shoot for Glory is Fylde Hockey Club's ambitious project to rejuvenate the sport of hockey in the Fylde and Wyre area, with outstanding facilities at the club in Wesham near Kirkham. The considerable expertise of the present England Hockey coaching staff has enabled the Ladies 1st team to play at National League level and the 2nd and 3rd teams to play NW Regional hockey. This project focuses clearly on young players, starting the game in their school or at the club and encouraging them to play and enjoy hockey whilst supporting them on their journey to becoming stars of the future. We currently have 10 Primary schools in the area showing interest in hockey. Our hockey festival day means we need 2 sets of goals for hockey 5 a side games and school coaching bags to take into schools to help the schools prepare their pupils for the day. A follow up of a Primary school hockey league for our 10 schools that the club can host year on year would be a positive outcome.

Rejuvenate and raise the profile of junior hockey in the Kirkham & Wesham area. Opportunity to play a new team sport which develops teamwork, respect for others, and be inspired to be the best that they can be. Opportunities for coaches to work in Primary schools and for those schools to offer a different sport to enhance their PE curriculum. School hockey tournaments can become part of the school sports calendar and be based at Fylde Hockey Club. At U8, U10 and U12 , our young club players can play in local and regional competitions and the club wants to encourage more boys to play the sport of hockey.
Steps to get it done:
It will provide continued school club links for hockey with competitive games and tournaments across the year. A healthy lifestyle and the chance to make new friends. A new talent pathway in a new sport for both boys and girls.

VolunteerFylde Hockey Club is a Lancashire based hockey club catering for all standards and ages of ladies and men’s hockey. We have two development teams, one mens and one ladies. These teams are ideal for those learning or needing more experience in playing the game. Four teams play against other teams either in the local Lancashire area or the North West of England. Our Ladies 1st team plays in the National North Conference League which is the highest level in the area.
?Our junior programme has development and performance training which enables children of all abilities from age 7 upwards to receive credible coaching from our committed team in a safe and supportive learning environment. We have one U10 team, two U12 teams and two U14 teams all playing 7 a-side hockey.
We are keen to help the Primary schools in the Kirkham and Wesham area to play the game of hockey which we hope in turn will boost our junior club numbers. we are particular keen to encourage more boys to play the game.
Project Owner: Fylde Hockey Club The Project Owner takes legal responsibility for receiving and spending the funds raised and ensuring the project is delivered.
