More about our impact
The environment
Our project supported the environment by refurbishing and repurposing an existing local building, sourcing durable long-term equipment to reduce waste, and creating a community-based service that reduces the need for families to travel long distances for specialist support.
The local economy
Our project supported the local economy by purchasing equipment and services from local suppliers, creating paid roles and specialist sessional work, attracting families into the town centre, and strengthening community partnerships that keep funding and opportunity within the local area.
Volunteering, jobs & education
Our project increased opportunities by creating new volunteer roles within CHASE, providing hands-on experience for individuals interested in education, health and community work, commissioning specialist professionals such as counsellors and speech and language practitioners, and offering structured learning and development opportunities for both young people and parents through our programmes.
Arts, culture & heritage
Our project supported arts and culture by incorporating creative expression into our sensory sessions, including music, art and interactive activities that encourage imagination and self-expression. We have provided an inclusive environment where children and young people who may struggle to access mainstream cultural spaces can safely explore creativity and develop confidence through artistic engagement.
Activity, health and leisure
Our project promoted health and leisure by providing structured sensory play, movement-based regulation activities, social gaming for young adults, and counselling support for parents. This has improved emotional wellbeing, encouraged positive social interaction, supported physical regulation through active play, and created safe leisure opportunities for families who previously had limited accessible options.
